Worc’s Cathedral LHB Surveys
16th June 2018 at 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Many thanks to all the volunteers who’ve made this event a success over the previous years. This will be the first of two surveys over 2018 aiming to see how the horseshoe bat colony are faring around Worcester Cathedral.
As last year, we’ll be focusing on the river crossing to see whether the bats are making use of the darkened flight-way.
Two teams of surveyors will be needed to cover both riverbanks, so the more volunteers the better and no particular bat survey experience is needed for this event.
If it’s still open…the pub might beckoning afterwards!
Please note this is an event for bat group members only. Not a member? Quick – sign up and come along! WBG members will receive a separate email with this event’s meeting location.
Don’t forget to bring warm and waterproof clothes (just in case), insect repellent, a torch and bat detector (if you own one, a number of WBG detectors will be available if needed), a pen and paper.
This year, members will also have the option of trialling WBG’s very own and brand shiny new bat survey app to collect and view our bat records – how cool is that – please email me for more info to download and use it!
Any questions please do give me a shout.
