Bewdley Bat Walk
25th August 2018 at 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
A public bat walk…without the walking. This year our annual Bewdley Bat Walk will take place in Riverside North Park – easy access for those with mobility issues and very little actual walking is involved. The bats will come to us!
The event: we will do a short talk about Britain’s bats and help you to use a bat detector (which will be provided). The bats will do the rest! We’ll probably hang around until about 10pm. You are welcome to join us afterwards for a visit to the Bewdley Beer Festival.
Location: directions to the park can be found here. Car parking is available in the Bewdley town car parks on the other side of the river. The park isn’t large and the pond can be found on the far side of the children’s playground. We will begin the evening between the pond and the playground. We’ll make sure that you can see us!
Preparation: if rain is forecast we will have to postpone and will update this event so please check back the day before the walk. Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for being out in a park after dark. We recommend you bring a torch.
Booking is not necessary but it helps us to know how many people to expect. Please let us know: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cost: the bat walk is free, but we would welcome donations which will go towards our work promoting and conserving bats in Worcestershire.
