Worcestershire Bat Group is a dedicated volunteer organisation, established in 1985, focused on promoting the conservation of bats and their habitats throughout Worcestershire.
For nearly four decades, we’ve worked to raise awareness, support research, and protect local bat populations, while fostering a sense of community among those who share a passion for these remarkable creatures.
Our activities are driven by the interests and contributions of our members. From seasoned bat enthusiasts and professional ecologists to those simply curious about bats, our group welcomes individuals from all backgrounds who want to make a difference. Over the years, our members have been involved in a wide range of projects, including:
Membership of Worcestershire Bat Group is open to everyone - no prior experience is necessary. We have a very varied membership, from keen amateur naturalists, professional ecologists and bat workers to people who just like bats and want to know more about these fascinating creatures.
Membership costs £10 per year per household and runs for a calendar year. See our Join Us page for more details.
We are proud to be a partner group of the Bat Conservation Trust, the UK’s national bat charity, working together to protect bats and their habitats across the country.
